The Algerian handball team defeated its Moroccan counterpart by a score of 24-23, Thursday, in the first round of Group F of the World Handball Cup competitions that are held in Egypt.
The Atlas Lions finished the first half ahead of the Algerians with a score of 15-8, but the Desert Fighters managed to return and reduce the difference until they scored the match-winning goal in the last second of the second half.
The best scorer in the match was Algeria national team player Ayoub Abdi with 7 goals from 11 shots on target, with a success rate of 64%, while player Rezouki Reda scored 6 goals, making him the best scorer for Morocco in the match.
