The delegation of Uzbekistan has concluded its participation in the Olympic Games in Paris, marking the most successful performance in the nation’s history. Uzbek athletes secured a total of 13 medals: 8 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze.
Uzbekistan ranked 13th out of 206 countries, achieving the highest position among Central Asian countries, the CIS, OIC, ECO, and the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). In Asia, Uzbekistan placed 4th, following China, South Korea, and Japan. Notably, our boxing team emerged as the best, winning 5 gold medals.
In August 2021, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev highlighted that the country had the potential to enter the top 15 teams at the Olympics.
