The number of the infections with the Coronavirus in the world is nearing to record three million cases.

About a third of the sick people are in the United States of America (USA). It has recorded the most infections and deaths around the world so far.

US recorded the first death at the end of February. Therefore, it was the most affected by the epidemic, whether in terms of the number of deaths or infections which approach one million. Up to Sunday evening, the USA recorded more than 986,000 cases of the novel Coronavirus. Only 118,000 people had recovered and 55,396 and 396 died.

However, the curve began to decline recently in New York, where 367 deaths on Sunday along with 5,688 infections. The number of deaths on Sunday is same one on Saturday, But this number was 437 on Friday.

Among the fifty-five thousand deaths nationwide, there are more than 22 thousand deaths in New York alone, but its health system is still standing firm.

Governor of New York Andrew Como revealed a plan to reopen the economy in that state later. The first stage of re-opening up the economy in New York, according to Como, will include construction and manufacturing activities in companies with low risk. The second stage covers broader areas. Two weeks separate between each of the two stages.

On Sunday, Como implied the possibility of allowing sporting events to resume again, but behind closed doors, in order to avoid the spread of the novel Coronavirus.

Although the declining numbers are somewhat, the White House crisis management team coordinator, Deborah Perks, expects to see the dramatic decrease in the number of deaths and those in need of intensive care, by the end of May. But the number of infections may increase with the availability of tests as the states open their economies again.

About 20 US states are seeking to open their economies and allow some companies and sectors to conduct their business, although some of these states have not yet reached the safe procedures to do so.

They suffer from the absence of the necessary infrastructure to limit the spread of the disease, which health experts say is required to prevent the return of injuries and endangering lives at risk.

The USA is conducting about 150,000 tests per day, but crisis cell team member and infectious disease expert Anthony Fuchi said the country needs to double that number.

Three states have already partially opened their economy: Georgia, Oklahoma, and Alaska, after a month of government-ordered closures.

Colorado, Mississippi, Minnesota, Montana, and Tennessee states will join them to open their economies as unemployment grows to record levels.
