The United States (US) strongly condemned on Monday the Houthi terrorist attack on Abu Dhabi.

In a statement, US State Department Spokesman Ned Price reiterated the US unwavering commitment to the security of the UAE.

“We express our condolences to the families of these victims and to the people of the UAE,” Price said.

Moreover, the Spokesman highlighted the phone call between Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which Blinken expressed his solidarity with the Emirati people and voiced his condolences for the loss of life.

It is worth mentioning that, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said in a statement, “We condemn the Houthi militia’s targeting of civilian areas and facilities on UAE soil today. We reiterate that those responsible for this unlawful targeting of our country will be held accountable.”

The statement added that, UAE reserves the right to respond to these terrorist attacks and criminal escalation, describing them as crimes done in blatant violation of international law.
