American space company “Rocket Lab” loses controlling a 500-kilogram electron booster followed a failed launch process, the company announced on Saturday.

The launch failure took place three minutes after the first stage of launching the booster from Rocket Lab's Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand.

The rocket carried two earth-observing satellites which were lost after the failure. The satellites belonged to the BlackSky firm.

"An issue was experienced during today's launch, resulting in the loss of the mission. We are deeply sorry to our launch customers BlackSky and Spaceflight," Rocket Lab tweeted immediately after the launch failure."

The uncontrollable electron booster raised some fears, especially it came a week after the crash of the Chinese giant rocket in the Atlantic Ocean.

However, this booster does not cause any threats to the Earth as it weighs only 500 kilograms.
