U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in the Ukrainian capital on Wednesday. Blinken is expected to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, to stress the United States' commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He will also meet with the staff and families of the US Embassy in Kiev.
Blinken will leave Ukraine on Thursday heading for the German capital, Berlin, to discuss recent diplomatic engagements with Russia, and joint efforts to deter Russian aggression against Ukraine, he will meet with German Foreign Minister Annalena Birbock.
Anthony Blinken is scheduled to meet on Friday in Geneva with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
