The US State Department has called on all non-emergency US government employees and their families to leave Mali in light of the risks of terrorist attacks, according to "Russia Today".

"The State Department has issued an order for all non-emergency government employees and their families to leave Mali due to the risk of terrorist attacks," the State Department said in its statement.

"Terrorist and armed groups continue to plan for kidnappings and attacks in Mali. Nightclubs, hotels, restaurants, places of worship and international diplomatic missions can become targets for attacks," it added.
