US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that it is up to Ukraine to give up parts of its territory amid the war.

"The United States and its allies are working to make sure that Kyiv gets the support it needs to have a strong hand on the battlefield," Blinken added.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted that the war may stagnate, without accelerating the delivery of advanced weapons from Ukraine’s allies.

The Ukrainian president stressed that the war will only end if the invading forces leave the country, according to Bloomberg Agency today, Wednesday.

On its part, Russia continued its attacks on Sievierodonetsk, shelling the city and surrounding villages, while seeking to seize the last major stronghold of the Ukrainian government in the Luhansk region, in eastern the country.

Serhiy Haidai, the Ukrainian regional governor that the Russian forces now control about 80% of the city.

About 12,000 people remain in Sievierodonetsk compared to its pre-war population of 100,000. More than 500 civilians are sheltering in the city’s Azot chemical plant, which is being relentlessly shelled by the Russians, according to Haidai.

"In all, 70 civilians were evacuated from the Luhansk region on the last day," the governor said.
