US Embassy in Cairo Hails El-Baz's Role in Space Science

Embassy of the United States in Cairo praised the great Egyptian scientist Dr. Farouk El-Baz for his contribution in the science in America.

“This Egyptian-born American once trained the astronauts for the 1969 Apollo11 moon landing,” the Embassy has tweeted.

“The embassy added that the former NASA geologist even got a shout-out on @StarTrek #TNG!”

Farouk El-Baz once prepared the space astronauts who were getting ready for the 1969 Apollo moon landing, Share America news site has reported.
