On Sunday morning, a shooting that occurred in Cincinnati, Ohio, left at least nine people injured, according to police.
Assistant Sheriff Mike John said at a press conference on Sunday that the suspected shooter fled the scene after opening fire on a crowded area on Main Street in the city and is still on the run.
John mentioned that a police officer fired one round at a suspect who fled the scene, but it was unclear if that person was hit, “what I can tell you is that the individual that he fired at was actively shooting a firearm at that time.”
He explained that none of the victims suffered from a serious condition, as most of the injuries were to the lower extremities.
The accident occurred in Cincinnati’s famous Over the Rain, one of Ohio’s largest cities, known for its restaurants and bars.
Since last April, several US states have witnessed shooting incidents that killed 40 people and injured more than 70 others.
