In addition, the conference will highlight those who hold the Distinguished Practices in Agricultural Ecology 2019 '' certification - practices that empower small food producers, foster sustainable food production systems and promote flexible agricultural practices that help maintain ecosystems and strengthen resilience to change the climate.

The solutions presented show that agroecology plays a crucial role in the transition to sustainable food and agriculture systems that address malnutrition, social injustice, land degradation, water scarcity, climate change and biopersity loss worldwide.

If implemented on a large scale, agroecology will make a real and immediate difference not only in our lives but in the lives of future generations.
