Egyptian giant Al Ahly smashed Smouha 4-1 in the sixth fixture of the Egyptian Premier League.

The Red Devils started the round topping the Egyptian Premier League table with the perfect score of 15 points from five games.

Smouha on the other hand were 11th on the table with six points from one win and three draws.

The Reds couldn’t have asked for a better start as they were awarded a penalty kick only five minutes into the game after a handball from Mahmoud Ezzat.

However, Badr Benoun’s execution wasn’t successful, with his ball hitting the crossbar before going outside of the pitch for the draw to continue.

The two teams then fought for possession with Al Ahly being more aggressive on the attacking side.

In the 31st minute of the match, the Reds successfully took the lead through Ayman Ashraf who was sent through on goal after a fantastic pass from Hussein El-Shahat, before netting his first goal of the season.

Only four minutes later, Percy Tau doubled the Al Ahly lead when he scored an amazing solo goal after toying with Mahmoud Ezzat, for the first half to end 2-0.

After the half-time break, Smouha started becoming more aggressive as they tried to come back into the game and they managed to do so in the 67th minute, when Canaria’s stunner beat Mohamed El-Shennawy, making the scoreline 2-1.

However, the Alexandrians’ celebrations didn’t last long as Hussein El-Shahat took advantage of Smouha’s confused defenses to score his first goal of the day and the third for his team just a few seconds later.

Minutes later, Percy Tau was sent through on goal, but failed to dribble past the keeper, but he made for the miss after tapping in Mohamed Hany’s low cross in the 80th minute to make it 4-1.
