The UN Security Council (UNSC) will host a meeting on Monday to discuss Israel’s offensive on the Gaza Strip, the Permanent Representative of Palestine to the UN stated on Sunday.
The Zionist regime’s attack on the Gaza Strip in the Occupied Lands will be discussed in a meeting of the UNSC on Monday, according to Riyad Mansour, the Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine to the UN.
Mansour stressed that when speaking with China, the UN Security Council’s rotating chairman, and other member nations, they were asked to ask the UNSC to stop Israel’s bombardment on the Gaza Strip and to vehemently denounce it.
He continued by saying that the UNSC member states decided to convene the meeting after this proposal was reviewed with other members by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) representative, who is now a member of the UN Security Council.
Mansour highlighted that the meeting will take place on Monday in private and will centre on the attack on the Gaza Strip by the Zionist authority.
The UN Security Council must denounce Israel’s onslaught on the Gaza Strip and work to put an end to such a barbaric action as it is in a position to safeguard security and international peace.
