The envoy of the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General to Libya, Stephanie Williams, has expressed the readiness of the United Nations to support all Libyan efforts in its endeavors to reach peaceful solutions.
The Libyan News Agency stated that this came in Williams‘ speech during her participation in the technical workshop on modalities of international support for the Libyan disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration program, which was set up by the United Nations Support Mission in the Spanish city of Toledo, in cooperation with the Spanish Embassy in Libya.
“During our meeting with the 5+5 Joint Military Commission on the sidelines of the workshop, we agreed that a fully comprehensive DDR process is an important tool for peacebuilding,” Williams said.
