The United Nations (UN) for Higher Human Rights (UNHCHR) has announced that the steps taken by Israel against the residents of Sheikh Jarrah in the eastern part of Jerusalem may be depicted as war crimes.

Robert Colville, media spokesman of the UNHCHR, aid that the eastern section of the Holy City is still a part of the occupied Palestinian territories and come under the mandate of the International Humanities Law, according to the official Palestinian news Agency (WFA).

Colville added that Israel couldn't introduce a set of its laws to the occupied territories including the eastern part of Jerusalem to expel the Palestinians from their houses in Sheikh Jarrah District.

On the other hand, Wassel Abu Youssef, General-Secretary of the Palestinian Liberation Front and a member of the Executive Committee of Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), said that the Palestinian people must rub shoulders in order to face the escalating crimes committed by the Israeli government in East Jerusalem.

He added that there are two mechanisms to confront the Israeli escalation.

The first mechanism linked to work for implementing the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly to secure international protection for the Palestinian people against the crimes of the Israeli occupation, especially in Jerusalem.

The second mechanism, according to Abu Youssef, is mobilizing serious efforts to punish Israel either by boycotting it or lodging a lawsuit with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in Hague to investigate the war crimes and those crimes committed against the Palestinian people.

However, Nabil Abu Rudinah, a spokesman for the Palestinian presidency condemned the new crime committed by the Israeli Army at Adoula village south of Naples in the West Bank.

The  Israeli army murdered in cold blood a Palestinian child Saeed Youssef Mohamed Audah.

The Palestinian official said that the government of the Israeli occupation insists on committing the same policies of murdering and field executions along with collective penalties against the Palestinian people and their properties in the West Bank.

He affirmed that those policies contradict legitimacy and international humanitarian laws.
