General Sir Nick Carter the UK's armed forces head explained in an Sky News interview's on Sunday, that he believed a quarter of the British Army could be robots by the 2030s.

Also, Carter explained that robots could play a key role in the British armed forces in the 2030s and working alongside tens of thousands of troops. In addition, the cyber weapons and autonomous vehicles and aircraft are expected to have greater emphasis in the review, along with lighter and more agile forces.

On other hand, he warned World War Three could be sparked by the coronavirus pandemic as well as, the economic devastation and anxiety across the world is fuelling regional tensions, which could lead to conflict.

''I think the real risk we have with quite a lot of the regional conflicts that are going on at the moment, is you could see escalation lead to miscalculation,'' Carter reported. Noteworthy, the investment into robot or remotely controlled warfare was set to be right at the heart of five-year defence ministry review.

Also, the Defence Ministry still says that only a human will be able to fire a weapon, but it's no secret that they're researching all manner of mechanised reconnaissance and armed technology. Later, the World Economic Forum study showed that robots are set to terminate 85 million jobs over the next 5 years.

According to Reuters the COVID-19 pandemic increases the changes in the medium and large companies work places, thus the human replacement with robots is happening even faster.

The study showed that the four executive directors out of five in 300 companies are speeding up the digitalization plans, applying new technologies and squandering the employment gains made since the economic depression in 2007 and 2008.
