The Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office announced Tuesday that 341 children have been killed and 622 have been wounded in the country since the start of the Russian military operation on February 24.

“By this morning, June 28, 2022, 341 children were killed and 622 others were injured as a result of the Russian military operation in the country,” the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office stated on the Telegram, according to the Ukrainian (Ukrainform) news agency.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister (FM) Sergey Lavrov stressed on Monday that Moscow will not set artificial timetables to complete its “special military operation”, launched in Ukraine on February 24, by Victory Day on May 9.

In press remarks, Lavrov reiterated that the operation aims to “ensure the safety of civilians and make sure that there are no threats from Ukraine to civilians and Russia,” adding that the operational pace depends on the need to mitigate risks for civilians and Russian troops.
