Russian shelling in the city of Sievierodonetsk in eastern Ukraine killed ten civilians, Luhansk Oblast Governor Serhiy Haidai announced on Monday.

Haidai pointed out that the eventual death toll will be significantly higher.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine will never again be a victim, adding that they have the ability, desire and will to be the subjects of life.

In addition, Zelenskyy stated that he is grateful to those who are fighting for freedom.

On his part, Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President's Office Igor Zhovkva indicated that Russian President Vladimir Putin of Russia is not ready to meet with Zelenskyy and has told some leaders that the moment is not yet right.

Meanwhile, Russia is more concerned with Finland and Sweden joining NATO as Putin affirmed that the expansion of military infrastructure to that territory will undoubtedly trigger Moscow's counter-reaction.

“Aside from this endless expansionist policy, the North Atlantic alliance also goes beyond the framework of its geographical designation, beyond the scope of the Euro-Atlantic region and seeks to get involved in international issues ever more actively and control the international situation from the standpoint of security, and influence them in other regions of the world and by far not in the best way,” the Russian leader stressed.
