Ukraine: Another 344 Evacuated from Mariupol

Ukraine's Government said that about 344 civilians were evacuated from Mariupol on Wednesday.

Women, children, and elders have been safely evacuated to Zaporizhzhia, which is controlled by Ukrainian troops, according to Iryna Vereshchuk, the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine.

Vereshchuk thanked the UN officials and the International Committee of the Red Cross for their support.

The People who were rescued, have been evacuated from Mariupol, Manhush, Berdyansk, Tokmak, and Vasylivka.

There is no information about the number of civilians there in the Azovstal plant, the last military site in Mariupol.

The Russian troops announced a ceasefire in the Azovstal plant on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so that the civilians could leave.

About 200 civilians are still there.
