UK military intelligence reported that Russia has lost a third of its ground forces and its offensive in Donbas has lost momentum.

“Despite small-scale initial advances, Russia has failed to achieve substantial territorial gains over the past month whilst sustaining consistently high attrition levels,” the British Defense Ministry said on Twitter.

According to the latest analysis from Britain's defense ministry, those delays are "almost certain" to be exacerbated by the loss of critical enablers such as bridging equipment, intelligence, and surveillance and reconnaissance drones.

The ministry added that Russian bridging equipment was scarce throughout the war, which slowed down and restricted offensive maneuvering,

According to the update, it noted that Russian UAVs were essential for tactical awareness and artillery guidance, but were vulnerable to the capabilities of Ukrainian anti-aircraft defenses.
