UAE Supports Ceasefire Deal Between Armenia, Azerbaijan

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, discussed, on Sunday, with Armen Sarkissian, the Armenian President who is in a working visit to the country, the relations of friendship and cooperation and ways to develop them, in a way that achieves the mutual interests of the two countries

In addition, both officials discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

The Crown Prince and the Armenian President reviewed the various aspects of cooperation between the two countries, especially the in the economic and investment fields that serve the development process in the UAE and Armenia and achieve their common aspirations.

The two sides exchanged views on a number of issues and topics of common interest, including their efforts to confront the global challenge of the "Coronavirus" pandemic and strengthening cooperation in this regard, they also addressed the latest developments in the Central Asian and Caucasus regions.

In this regard, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed his country's support for the ceasefire agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, wishing that the "comprehensive ceasefire" agreement between the two countries would be a step towards a lasting and stable peace.

On his part, the Armenian President thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his support, stressing his keenness to strengthen the relations between Armenia and the UAE.
