Egyptian renowned actor, Mohamed Henedy's 2018 comedy TV series "Ard El Nefak" (Land of Hypocrisy) has been renewed for a second season.
In a statement on Monday, producer Gamal El Adl revealed that preparations begin for the series and added that Henedy will reprise his role as Masoud from the original series.
El Adl also shared the series is set to be premiered in the Ramadan 2023 drama marathon.
"Ard El Nefak" revolved around Masoud, a man fed up with his dead-end life who starts taking pills that play on his morals and gives him a different personality every day.
It featured a star-studded cast that included Hana Shiha, Mohamed Tharwat, Salwa Mohamed Ali, and Samy Maghawry.
The series also featured late veteran actress Dalal Abdel Aziz.
"Ard El Nefak" is based on the novel by Youssef El Sebai of the same title. It is directed by Sameh Abdel Aziz and Mohamed El Adl from a screenplay adapted by Ahmed Abdallah.

Henedy is busy shooting his new film ” Al Gawahergy” starring Mona Zaki.
It also stars Lebleba, Ahmed El Saadany, Asser Yassin, Reem Moustafa, Tara Emad, and others.
Islam Khairi directed the film from a script by Omar Taher.
The film witnesses the first collaboration between Henedy and Zaki after 23 years. They last starred together in the 1998 film “Saidi at the American University”.
Henedy was last seen in the film “Al Ens W El Nems”.
