French and international media reported that the temporary exhibition of King Tutankhamun, at the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris, has broken records in the history of the cultural exhibitions, as it is the most visited one in France.

The number of registered visitors so far reached 1,371,476, according to the latest official census issued by the exhibition officials. This number continues to increase as the exhibition, inaugurated by Minister of Antiquities Khaled Al-Anani last March under the title: Tutankhamun “Pharaoh’s Treasures, runs until September 22.

The French and international newspapers and news agencies said that this exhibition and other temporary foreign exhibitions held by Egypt abroad are the best propaganda for Egypt, its ancient civilization and unique treasures, since they have a positive impact on the tourism  movement to Egypt.

Noteworthy, Tutankhamun “Pharaoh’s Treasures exhibition was inaugurated by the Egyptian Antiquities Minister and the French Culture Minister last March and will run until September 22, then it will be transferred  to the British capital “London”, where it will be inaugurated  in early November in  its third stop after Los Angeles in USA, and Paris.

The exhibition holds a number of antiques that belong to King Tutankhamun.

Tutankhamun also known by the Egyptological pronunciation Tutankhamen, was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh of the 18th dynasty, during the period of Egyptian history known as the New Kingdom.
