Turkish television network "NTV" confirmed that a Turkish law court in  Istanbul had issued a verdict against Adnan Oktar, the famous preacher who was accused in several cases, with 1075 years in jail

Oktar was arrested in July 2018 and accused of founding a criminal organization, child sexual abuse, sexual harassment, sexual relations with minors, kidnapping, rape, extortion, depriving people of freedom illegally, military and political espionage, and fraud by exploiting religious beliefs and violation of privacy, forgery of documents, and other crimes.

In addition to Oktar, in this case, 236 people were sentenced to prison terms of varying lengths.

Oktar, who became known as "Harun Yahya", is described as a Turkish writer with a false orientation, who has authored more than 300 books on political science, religious and public issues, which have been translated into 76 languages.

He was arrested in 1986 on charges of "attempting to exploit religion or religious sentiments, as well as religious shrines, with the aim of bringing about a partial change in the social, economic or political system of the secular state in Turkey.

But the court ruled at the time that there was no evidence of the criminal act, after which Oktar was acquitted and released from custody.

As previously reported by the Turkish media, Oktar is the leader of a fake Islamic sect, in which he practices sexual slavery and group sex.

On the other hand, in mid-December, the Turkish authorities announced the arrest of 23 suspects of belonging to the organization that Adnan Oktar formed in 9 provinces across the country, and its headquarters is in Istanbul.

The detainees were accused of working to ensure the continuity of the organization, raising the morale and motivation of the leaders, directors, and members of it.

The suspects created a general perception in favor of the organization.
