Tunisia... President Tours Popular Street, Meets with Passers by

Tunisian President Qais Saied appeared on Tuesday evening to walk in Bourguiba Street in the center of the capital, Tunis, on an unannounced tour in advance.

Saied, who was accompanied by heavy security, met with a number of Tunisians, where he listens to them while voicing their complaints about the "performance of Parliament", according to a statement by the Tunisian presidency on "Facebook".

During the short tour, large numbers of Tunisians chanted: "The people want to dissolve Parliament," while other crowds gathered around the president expressed their support for him, demanding the necessity of improving living conditions in the country.

The Tunisian then went to the Ministry of Interior headquarters located on the main street.

Pictures published by the presidency showed a meeting between the President of the Republic, Hisham Al-Mishishi, the prime minister and the acting interior minister.
