Protestors Take to Tunisia’s Streets amid Belaid’s Assassination Anniv.

Tunisia witnessed on Saturday fierce protests amid the 8th anniversary of politician and lawyer Chokri Belaid’s assassination.

The protesters took  to the streets condemning assassination incidents that driven by political motives.

Moreover, they attacked the presence of Al Nahda party and their political acts.

On the other hand, demonstrators called for stopping all forms of violence in the city, condemning the Belaid’s assassination incident.

Earlier security officers deployed the Avenue Habib Bourguiba amid calls of demonstrations in the city.

Belaid was killed in 2013 before his home as he belonged to the Democratic Patriots' Movement due to criticizing extremist political movement.
