On Friday, several pacific countries and regions issued Tsunami warning after a violent 8.1 magnitude earthquake stroke New Zealand. Those alerts are now lifted after the waves reached 1 to 3 meter in some regions.

New Zealand was the first country to lift the warning, despite the immediate evacuation of thousands of coastal residents after the last earthquake.

Civil Defense authorities asked coastal areas residents to leave home and move to the nearest high grounds as high waves were expected to arrive.

Despite of lifting the Tsunami alerts, authorities asked people to stay away beaches as much as possible, they allowed the people of some regions to return home .

On the other hands, the Tsunami alerts in the Pacific countries such as Colombia, Chile, Mexico and far islands such as Samoa and Hawaii were shortly lifted.

Yesterday, three major earthquakes hit New Zealand. All of them were above 7 magnitudes. Until now, no casualties were reported.
