US former president Donald J. Trump said over a press interview with Fox News that he intends seriously to run for the 2024 presidential election.

He added that the next election is still far away but he indicated that he won over 75 million votes over the last presidential election last November.

He assured that votes proved that he enjoys a high rate of the voters' support.

The former president went on to say that he is very serious when he mulls over running for the next presidential race.

He claimed that from a legal viewpoint, he doesn't want this matter to go public.

It is worth noting that Trump said last March that intends to make his final decision on running for the 2024 Presidential election after the country's midterm elections, to be held in 2022.

He assured that the Republicans will regain the majority in both the lower and upper chambers of Congress following the next legislative elections.

Trump delivered a speech to the US conservative figures at Orlando, Florida, on February 28, where he revealed that he may participate in the 2024 presidential election.

On the other hand, Trump urges the Republicans to embrace his political agenda if they want to regain hegemony in the House of Representatives and the Senate in 2022.

During the interview with Fox News, Trump was asked whether the Republican candidates should adopt the so-called agenda " Make America Great", he replied, yes, if they want to win.

Trump's statements widely in the Republican circles since he left the White House last January after defeat to the sitting US President Joe Biden.

The Republicans are still discussing whether they continue holding populism hardliner

conservatism policies or they should change these policies after a series of bitter defeats to the Democrats and independent politicians across various states.
