BAGHDAD, Dec. 26 (SEE)- President Donald Trump and first lady Melania made on Wednesday a surprise Christmas visit to U.S troops in Iraq.
Trump celebrated Christmas and took memorial photographs with military staff at Ayn al-Asad Airbase in Iraq.
It is the first time that Trump visits U.S troops in a war zone since elected president.
The president took advantage of the partial government post-holiday shutdown to visit U.S military in Iraq.
Not Surprisingly, Trump has not tweeted, and White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders' office was dim for more than 17 hours.
Ayn al-Asad Airbase is an Iraqi-US armed forces base located in the Al Anbar Governorate west of the country.
