The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities participated in the Salon de la Plongee, held in Paris, as a part of the ministry's plan for promoting tourist attractions, especially pe sites in Egypt.

In this regard, Chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Authority Ahmed Youssef affirmed that the Salon de la Plongee is one of the most important tourist events in France in terms of French people's passion for ping.

Youssef pointed to the ministry's keenness on promoting the Egyptian pe sites in the French market, which witnesses an increase in the tourists coming to Egypt.

The Egyptian pavilion saw a high turnout from tour agents, representatives of ping clubs and tour operators.

Professional meetings with some French tour agencies were held, which resulted in suggesting ideas about organizing ping events in one of the tourist destinations in the Red Sea in Egypt as well as holding media meetings about the Egyptian scuba ping sites.

This year, the 30-meter Egyptian pavilion increased its area with 12 meters due to the high turnout in the presence of more than 413 exhibitors over an area of 13,000 meters.

Egypt is considered one of the leading countries in this type of tourism because of the variety of ping sites along the Red Sea coast and the well-established ping infrastructure. Scuba ping centers are located in Dahab, Hurghada, Safaga, Sharm El Sheikh, Taba, and Marsa Alam.
