Tourism Minister Inspects Luxor, Karnak Temples

Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, the Tourism and Antiquities Minister, was keen to visit Luxor and Karnak Temples.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Anani held various meetings series since the merging of the tourism and antiquities portfolio with tourist investors in all Egypt governorates to support the tourist movement.

The meetings were held in order to inspect the works being implemented within the project of developing and raising the efficiency of tourism services and the elements of the visual identity project.

Al-Anani was accompanied by Dr. Mustafa Waziri the General Secretary of Antiquities Supreme Council, Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Assi, the Assistant Minister for Hotel Affairs.

The elements of the visual identity project implemented at Luxor Temple and Karnak temples include modern gates at the entrances of temples, new outlets for ticket sales, and modern guiding panels that were placed in separate places in the temples that correspond to the nature of the visual identity.

The project will also display the identification cards for temples workers, new wooden benches for resting visitors, advanced garbage baskets to separate types of garbage, barriers that define the visiting temples path and umbrellas to protect visitors from the sun.

Noteworthy, the work has been carried out to raise the efficiency and rehabilitation of Luxor and Karnak temples, to make it accessible to visitors with special disabilities, by adopting special methods which allow the use of wheelchairs.
