Tourism, Civil Aviation Expand Demotic Tourism Support Initiative to May 31st

Tourism and Antiquities Ministry, and Civil Aviation Ministry decided on Saturday to expand the domestic tourism support initiative to May 31st.

The expansion of the initiative targeted increasing the amount of domestic tourism during Eid El-Fitr and the summer vacation period.

All protective measures against COVID-19 will be strictly applied including using only 50% of the hotels capacity in hotels, and all tourist and archaeological dictations including restaurants, cafes, and museums.

This decision of the ministries of Tourism and Antiquities and Civil Aviation came as part of the government’s plan of backing the Tourism and aviation sectors and their workers, in addition to boosting tourism in Egypt.

Regarding the prices of the tickets, flights from Cairo and Alexandria to Luxor, including tax, will cost EGP 1,500 and to Aswan EGP 1,800, while flights from Cairo or Alexandria to Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada, and Taba will cost EGP 1,800 and to Marsa Alam EGP 2,000.
