Some of the Red Sea’s most spectacular beaches are to be found in Egypt, which holds something for every type of beach-lover. These are the most beautiful stretches of golden sand, bathed by intensely blue waters that contain colorful Sea Shells, and marines and blessed with sunshine practically all year round.

Here you can check out the top 4 places in the Red Sea and details about what makes each one special. Read the list from top to bottom, and you’ll soon have some great ideas for your next summer holiday.

Hurghada

Often seen as simply a sea destination, Hurghada has a bucketful of surprising tourist attractions and things to do for those that venture off the sandy shores. Undeniably one of the most popular beaches on the island, if not in the Red Sea, Hurghada, which has many hidden secrets, sits in the southeastern of Giftun Island. It is famed for its palm trees and a long stretch of powdery white sand.

In Hurghada, you’ll find every activity, both cultural and social, you could ever want to do on a Read Sea vacation.

So, you don’t need to embark on a snorkeling vacation or diving adventure to experience the wonders of the Red Sea floor, because Hurghada actually features one of the best aquariums in the world, which means to see marine animals and habitats up close, all you have to do is plan a day trip.

Welcoming more than one thousand visitors per year, the Hurghada Aquarium sits right along Ahia Harbor. The waterfront aquarium is home to whale sharks, tiger sharks, hammerheads, thresher sharks, and dolphins.

Sharm El-Sheikh

Do you really love mountain scenery but want to enjoy plenty of beach time too? If so, Sharm El-Sheik resorts and bays might be the perfect Red Sea destination for you.

Touristic sites, tasty cuisine, and a lively cultural scene can all be found in Sharm. But most often it’s the beauty and versatility of its mountains and bays that draw travelers from afar. Do you like to party in the sand? Are you looking for safe, shallow waters where your kids can play? Would you be interested in exploring the Red Sea deep? This paradise in Naama Bay can be covered with one long beach every day of the year.

Save your breaks from the sand and sun for the go-to sights of Sharm; its Dahab and Nuweiba have a more relaxed, less touristy feel.

Safaga

If you’re looking for a stunning Red Sea destination that you can explore in full during your vacation, this coastal city could be the one to choose.

Safaga is a charming spot in Egypt, on the coast of the Red Sea, located 53 km (33 mi) south of Hurghada.
