During winter in Egypt, you’ll find many relaxing cities, entertainment places and stunning resorts, as well as warm natural spaces to enjoy a vacation without extreme heat and with a lot of relaxation and fun.

Depending on whether you want to rest or practice adventure sports, here’s Sada Elbald English (See) guide to the best places to visit in Egypt this winter.

Cairo

You can enjoy everything in this mega-city with world-class tourist services, where you’ll find the accommodation that best suits your taste and budget. January and February temperatures can vary from 28°C in the day to 16°C in the evening. Snow is practically non-existent.

While most of the cities and rivers of Europe and the U.S.A are covered with snow and with freezing rains, in Cairo, people are enjoying the Nile river cruises with their friends or family.

Dahab, Sinai Peninsula

In Dahab, tourism means beaches of soft and fine sands and crystal-clear waters with a dazzling turquoise blue color, which becomes even deeper in the Dahab Blue Hole, also known as  "The World's Most Dangerous Diving Site" (20-metre-deep sinkhole).

Every list of tourist activities in Dahab must include a visit to the beautiful beaches characteristic of the Sinai Peninsula. Its Ras Abu Gallum, a nature reserve, and a ping area, for its beautiful waters, fresh and crystalline, populated by many unique corals in the reefs, and the beautiful blue landscapes surrounding them, are also a must-see.

Visit Dahab in the January-March months, and you’ll find the best weather of the year in this Egyptian corner, with temperatures that vary between 24 and 27 °C.

Ain Sukhna, Red Sea

If you want to go for a swim, but feel that it’s too cold in your country, fret not, Egypt has a wide selection of areas where you can still take a dip into the sea, and enjoy the weather, one of those places is Ain Sukhna.

There are many affordable resorts, which will offer front row seats to the Red Sea and Suez Gulf, something that you can do in the morning, then head on over to the Porto Sukhna at night for some entertainment, or even dance the night away.

Any time is an excellent opportunity to visit this charming Red Sea destination privileged by nature because you will find parties, festivals, and sporting tournaments throughout the year. Imagine spending the winter in Sukhna resorts and fill your mind with thoughts of warm sunshine, lush palm trees, and fresh orange juices on the beach; a radically different picture from that of winter in most other places.
