Tokyo Olympics: Egypt's Issa Loses to Maxim Khramtkov in Semis

Egyptian Taekwondo fighter Seif Issa lost his semi-final clash against Russian champion Maxim Khramtkov 1-13 in the semi final of the -81kg in Tokyo Olympics 2020.

The Egyptian fighter qualified for the last four after defeating Simone Alessio of Italy 6-5. He now has a chance to win a Bronze Medal as the Egyptian fighter will play two match in the stage, which enable him to win the medal. 

The Egyptian star, who ranked 5th in the world rankings, is Taekwondo practitioner. He won a bronze medal at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, held in Nanjing, China.

In 2020, he competed in the men's 80 kg event at the 2020 African Taekwondo Olympic Qualification Tournament in Rabat, Morocco and he qualified to represent Egypt at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
