The 18-year old Moustafa was was brutally beaten by six women on bus for no reason in Nottingham. She died 3 weeks later after suffering a a stroke.

Ms Moustafa was described by her vice principal at Nottingham College as “an aspiring engineering student who was well loved and regarded by her friends, peers and all those who knew her.”

Yesterday, six girls were proven guilty of the attack, 2 were spared jail and the other three will be sentenced later this month.

However, Mr. Moustafa described the charge as "weak" because the girls were not proven to be the cause of his daughter's death. They are only sentenced for their violent actions.

The father said that his family "are not safe in this country." He added that after the court, no one is able to protect his family.

Judge Gregory Dickinson QC said: “They were not charged with murder or manslaughter. They are to be sentenced on the basis that their actions, inpidually and collectively, did not cause the death of Mariam Moustafa."

He added saying, “It is important that everyone with an interest in this sad case should understand that the three defendants are to be dealt with for the offence of affray."
