Nearly 20,000 people participated in demonstrations organized in the Spanish capital, Madrid, in support of Ukraine against the invasion launched by Russia.
The protesters chanted insults to Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the Spanish newspaper "La Bangordia".
The Spanish newspaper pointed out that the demonstrators carried many Ukrainian flags and expressed their support for the Ukrainian citizens with the slogans "Spain works, Ukraine wants peace", and "Ukraine today, Europe tomorrow."
The newspaper pointed out that a number of other Spaniards demonstrated in other cities across Spain to support Ukraine and against the war waged by Russia.
Many regions of the country witnessed last Saturday also protests against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
People took to the streets in cities such as Pamplona, Cuenca, Teruel, Zaragoza, and towns in Asturias.
