Early Tuesday, The Rock announced that he will induct his grandmother Lia Maivia, into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024.

Another member of the famed Samoan Dynasty is set to enter the WWE Hall of Fame.

The Rock announced the news on an Instagram video. He captioned it: "One of the first-ever female promoters of professional wrestling," adding: "She was a [trailblazer]. She was a protector of our family. She was the real Final Boss."

Lia Maivia took over Polynesian Pro Wrestling (PPW) in 1982 after the death of her husband "The High Chief" Peter Maivia.

She presented a card that attracted a crowd of 20,000 in August 1985 called A Hot Summer Night.

Maivia will be joining several members of the Anoa'i Family who are in the WWE Hall of Fame, including her husband, The Rock's father Rocky Johnson, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, "The Wild Samoans" Afa and Sika, and Rikishi.

Maivia induction into the Hall of Fame was not the only one announced for Class 2024 as Paul Heyman, Bull Nakano, Muhammad Ali, the US Express (Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham), and Thunderbolt Patterson were announced for this year's Hall of Fame.
