Designer Hamsa Ahmed Marks Down Syndrome Awareness Month

The month of October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, and Egyptian jewelry designer, Hamsa Ahmed, has chosen to present her latest designs with a photo session that holds a special message.

She highlighted that people with Down syndrome are capable of living a normal life like any human being and can do whatever they want.

Thus, Ahmed, through her designs, offered her support for people with Down syndrome.

The designer held the photo session this week, which featured as its model, “Dmc” channel TV anchor, Rahma Khaled, the first TV presenter and model with Down syndrome in Egypt and the Arab world.

“I am truly honored to meet her, as she is an example of positive energy and commitment, as well as her very cooperative mother. I hope that we passed the idea in a simple way,” the designer said.

Ahmed continued: “I was keen to present the new collection by choosing the simplest accessories to show the beauty of Rahma Khaled’s, and indeed, we started to match with the looks she wore,”

The designer used many designs for her collection such as lily, feathers, crystal, and roses, which are popular accessories trends for 2020.

She also presented a silver-plated crystal shoulder necklace, which, when compiled with any simple style, can give it a distinct and different look.

The photo session took the whole day, which was taken by professional photographer Iman Farid.

The makeup was done by makeup artist ola Abu Al-Khair, while Mesho Beauty Salon had done the hair.

It is worth mentioning that Khaled is a swimming champion, who won first place at the Olympics in 2010, and 2011.

She also won the national championship in 2010.

Khaled attended the first youth conference held in Lebanon as an official spokesperson for people with special abilities.

She is characterized by her charisma, optimism, and a smile that does not leave her cheerful face.

Khaled managed to achieve her small dream and become the first TV presenter with Down syndrome.

She defended the rights of people with special needs and changed the misconception about them, truly, miracles are born from the womb of the crisis.
