Searchlight Pictures released Wednesday the trailer for American-Argentine-British actress Anya Taylor-Joy‘s dark comedy movie “The Menu”.
The movie is centered around a couple Margot and Tyler (Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult) who travel to a coastal island to eat at an exclusive restaurant where the chef (Ralph Fiennes) has prepared a lavish menu, with some shocking surprises.
The footage featured the guests slowly realizing that not all is as it seems at this bizarre dinner. It also showed the evening taking a nightmarish turn, and the eerie synchronicity of Chef Slowik’s staff begins to shift from impressive discipline to a cultish.
Mark Mylod directed the movie from a script by Seth Reiss and Will Tracy. It is produced by Adam McKay and Betsy Koch.
It also stars Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, Judith Light, Reed Birney, Paul Adelstein, Aimee Carrero, Arturo Castto, Mart St. Cyr, Rob Yan, and John Leguizamo.
“The Menu” is set to release in theaters on November 18.
The movie features Taylor-Joy as Imperator Furiosa. The character was first introduced in the 2015 movie “Mad Max: Fury Road”, portrayed by Charlize Theron.
Miller will be co-writing and producing the movie through his Kennedy Miller Mitchell banner.
Production on the movie is set to begin in New South Wales in 2022, which is expected to be the biggest movie to be filmed in Australia.
“Furiosa” to debut by Warner Bros. on May 27, 2024.
