"The Guest" Opens Egyptian Film Society Festival Today

Saturday evening, the activities of the 46th of the Egyptian Film Society Festival will be held at the Creativity Center at Cairo opera house ,with the presence of a large number of filmmakers, critics, and members of the film society and media professionals.

The opening film, which will be “the guest” directed by Hadi Al-Bagouri, after the screening a discussion will be held by the critic Rami Al-Metwally in the presence of a number of film makers. And also screenings are held daily at the Artistic Creativity Center at the Opera House.

On Sunday, the film "The Secret Men's Club" will be screened, and its discussion will be led by critic Ahmed Saad eldin.

On Monday, the film “The Passage”, and the discussion will be run by critic Khaled Mahmoud.

The Treasure 2

Tuesday, the second part of the movie, "Blue Elephant" will be managed by Ezzat Elbanna, and on Wednesday, the second part of the movie "The Treasure 2" will be presented, and the discussion will be run by critic Mohammed Sayed Abdul Rahim.

On Thursday, will screen the second part of the film "Rizk’s sons 2" is run by a critic, Sayed Mahmoud Meanwhile, critic Mohamed Abdel-Rahman will lead the discussion of the movie "Scarecrow", which will be screened on Friday.

The festival concludes its shows on Saturday with film “When we are born", directed by Tamer Ezzat, and discussion will be led by the critic Mohamed Nabil.

The closing ceremony will be held on 8th of February at Mohamed Farid cinema in city center, where prizes will be distributed to the winners and a number of pioneers of the Egyptian cinema will be honored. They are Ali Al-Kassar, Tawfiq Al-Daqin, the scriptwriter Abu Al-Saud Al-Abyari and the director Mamdouh Shoukry.

One of the great director, Dawood Abdel-Sayed, the scriptwriter Waheed Hamid, the musician Mounir Al-Wasimi, the artist Lotfi Labib, interior designer Nihad Bahgat and critic Salah Hashem will be honored too.
