Russian House in Cairo Celebrates World Children’s Day

The administration of the Russian House in Cairo was keen to organize an art workshop to celebrate World Children’s Day.

World Children’s Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children’s Day and is celebrated on 20 November each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improve children’s welfare.

On his part, Marat Gatin, director of the Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt, congratulated children in Egypt and Russia on this happy day, wishing them a successful school year, in light of following all precautionary measures to preserve their health during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sherif Gad, director of the cultural activities in the center, affirmed that the administration shows great interest in children, providing them a variety of educational and sports activities under the supervision of specialized teachers to highlight their artistic abilities.

In the same vein, Marwa Khalil, the administrative official in the Languages Department, thanked the children's families who were keen to participate in the celebration of “World Children’s Day”.

Moreover, Nada Mahmoud, head of the children's department at the Russian House, expressed her immense happiness with the children's talents and performances during the art workshop and various activities.
