Antiquities Council Completes Philae Temples Dev't in Aswan

The Antiquities Supreme Council completed the development of the Philae Temples area in Aswan, where an internal marina has been established and places to wait for visitors, in addition raising the lighting system efficiency.

Dr. Mustafa Waziri, the Secretary-General of the Antiquities Supreme Council, explained that the project is part of the Council’s plan to develop museums and archaeological sites.

Waziri said that project began last February. The temple has two entrances to organize the movement of tourists and avoid crowds.

On the other side, Abdel Moneim Saeed the Director General of Aswan and Nubia museum, explained that new internal marina has waiting place and a private bridge over 18 meters.
