Tamarind is a basic beverage during Ramadan as it’s considered an effective solution for indigestion; one of the main fasting problems.

200 gm Tamarind
2 liters water
3 cups sugar
In a large pan, add water and tamarind then cover and set for one whole night.
On the second day, put the pan on a medium heat and add 3 cups of sugar.
Stir the mixture well and let it boil for 15 minutes, then turn off heat.
After it’s completely cool, strain the mixture in a bowl, then pour the liquid in bottles and set in the fridge for daily use.
