Zamalek's chairman Mortada Mansour said on Monday that the negotiation with the Portuguese Jesualdo Ferreira have been stopped after the latter requested to lead the White Knights in the upcoming years.

In statements to Sada El-Balad, Mansour said that Ferreira is no longer one of the club's choices after he requested to meet with his assistants as everyone works in far place.

"Ferreira informed me that he agrees on managing Zamalek, but from the next season. This is a difficult matter, because the club have a significant task in the CAF Champions League." Zamalek's chairman added.

He also noted that the White Knights are in talks with Gabriel Calderón, the former coach of Saudi's Al-Hilal, in addition to another "excellent" Italian coach, without revealing his name.

"Both have a great history, but Calderón is like me being a nervous coach," Mansour explained.

"We will meet to take the final decision during the upcoming hours and we will announce it as soon as the meeting ends," the White Knights chairman concluded.
