Tablets: President's Gift for First Grade Secondary Students

CAIRO, Jan. 30 (SEE)- Dr. Tarek Shawki, Minister of

Education, said that tablets will be distributed to students in the first grade

secondary after the end of the half-yearly holiday.

Shawki explained that the tablet will be equipped with knowledge materials to help them understand the new system. Shawki pointed out that the exams for the end of the first year of the first grade secondary will be on the board, to be corrected electronically without the intervention of any human element to get rid of the disease of fraud and infusion.

Furthermore, the ministry of Education announced the

distribution of tablets to all governorates before February 10. The ministry

also started organizing training courses for teachers to use the tablets and

integrate technology in the educational process. The following governorates

have received the tablets: New Valley, North and South Sinai, Marsa Matruh. 

This tablet contains a headset, a charger, a clipboard and a

pen to be distributed to the students. If it is damaged or lost, the student's

father pays LE 4500 to buy a replacement or buy a 100-pound insurance policy at

the Egyptian Post Office.

The tablet is a gift

presented by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi for all students in the first grade

of secondary schools in public and private schools.
