Syrian Air Defenses Shot Down Israeli Missiles

Syrian News Agency "SANA" reported that the Syrian air defenses  shot down hostile missiles in the sky of Damascus, amid sound of explosions over the capital.

A Syrian military source said that at about 1:26 am on Friday, "the Israeli army carried out an air aggression from southeast Beirut, targeting some points in the vicinity of Damascus, causing material damages."

It is noteworthy that the vicinity of the capital was targeted last, and the cities of Aleppo and Homs were similarly targeted.

The military source added at the time that the Syrian air defenses had shot down most of the Israeli missiles that targeted the Al-Safira area, southeast of Aleppo.

Meantime, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said that the army's assessments indicate that a Syrian anti-aircraft missile penetrated Israeli territory at dawn on Friday.
