Syria Hits Highest Daily Rise in Covid-19 Cases

Syria recorded on Tuesday the highest daily number of Covid-19 cases with 150 new cases. Meanwhile, the Syrian Health Ministry announced that the number of pandemic infections has risen to 9,452, including 543 deaths.

Most of the cases recorded were reported in southern  the country , with 25 case in Daraa and Sweida, followed by Homs with 20 case. On Monday, the daily average of the pandemic infections in Syria surpassed 100, according to the Health Ministry.

On other hand, Syria implemented new sections to assist Covid-19 cases in the nation's all health centers, maintaining borders lockdowns and restrictive measures at workplaces, service and commercial centers, and all educational and religious institutions.

Noteworthy, in coordination with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, the Emirates Red Crescent sent the second aid plane to Damascus to fight Covid-19 in Syria, and reduce the spread of  pandemic as part of “The UAE’s Global Response to COVID-19”.

The Emirates News Agency (WAM) mentioned that the plane carried 25 tons of medications and medical supplies that will benefit thousands of health care workers.
