Superhero movies top 2018's Box Office

If we could describe the 2018 box office with one word than it would be SUPERHERO year. Four of the five highest earning movies of 2018 turned out to be superhero movies. Marvel have dominated this year's box office gaining nearly 4 billion dollars, while the Incredibles produced a remarkable sequel which broke box office numbers.

Here are the five highest earning movies of 2018:

Avengers Infinity War

The culmination  of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that has been building since 2008's Ironman. Infinity War could perhaps be the most action packed Avengers movie yet, with earth's mightiest heroes teaming up with the Guardians of the Galaxy to halt the Mad Titan Thanos's quest to collect the infinity stones.

Black Panther

Perhaps the most mainstream movie on the list based on the fact that T-Challa the Black Panther is the first ever African superhero. The movie gained the attention of the African community worldwide in addition to the African based ethnic societies around the World.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

The second installment of the Revival of one of the most iconic movies to ever brace the Cinemas Jurassic Park. Coming straight after Jurassic World, Fallen Kingdom had a lot to prove and it's box office numbers are perhaps the biggest indication that it was able to continue the momentum garnered by it's predecessor.

The Incredibles 2

The movie is part two of one of the most iconic Pixar animated studios movie, part two revolves around Telecommunications guru Winston Deavor enlists Elastigirl to fight crime and make the public fall in love with superheroes once again. That leaves Mr. Incredible with one of his greatest challenges ever staying at home and taking care of the kids.

Deadpool 2

A lighter tone that it's predecessor, Deadpool 2 centers around anti-hero Slade Wilson protected a pyrokenetic Kid, Russel from the clutches of Cable.
