This morning, the Al-Arabiya news channel has quoted a Sudanese official saying that a meeting will shortly be held in Khartoum, to piece together a unified position on normalization with Israel.

The meeting is due to gather the Sovereignty Council and the Council of Ministers, to discuss the outcomes of the negotiations that took place with the American side in Abu Dhabi, especially the issue of normalization with Israel, against the objection of some coalition parties.

According to informed sources, an agreement has been reached, including removing Khartoum from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, which may be announced within days, in addition to an agreement to provide US aid to Sudan worth $7 billions.

The sources stated that Sudan had agreed in principle to normalize its relationship with Israel, on condition that a package of demands be implemented, in addition to negotiating the issuance of legislation to ensure that Khartoum will not be prosecuted in any future issues.

Earlier, it was reported that a meeting is expected to gather Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Sudanese General Al-Burhan soon in Uganda.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that a press conference will be held on Saturday in the Abbasi hall - east of Al-Zaytouna Hospital in Khartoum, during which the inauguration of the "Sudanese-Israeli Friendship Association" will be announced.

Al-Burhan, who recently visited the UAE, confirmed that he discussed with US officials several issues during the visit, including "peace with Israel."
